Golden Gate JOAD Limb Library Policy

The club has used its fees to build a library of limbs for students to use. We have asked that students who take limbs and are going to keep them after an initial tryout pay a deposit on them. If the limbs are kept long enough, we will keep the deposit. If they are returned before the expiration, the deposit will be returned.

Below is the official text of the policy:

GGJOAD maintains a collection of archery limbs that allow archers to move up and down in weight as their archery skills progress. You can borrow one pair of limbs at a time. It is fine for archers to keep these limbs long term, but we ask that archers who have checked out limbs pay a deposit of $100.

We will keep your deposit under either of these conditions.

  • If you don’t participate in a ticketed practice with us for twelve months, we will take your deposit and the limbs will be yours.
  • If you return the limbs and they are damaged.

At any time, an archer may upgrade to a new set of limbs and return the old ones to the library without paying another fee.
