Last indoor shoot of the season escapes forecasted rain

We held our last achievement shoot of the year yesterday for indoor distances and had an amazing turnout.   Twenty archers turned out to try and earn new pins.  It was forecast to rain all morning, so I wore my rainsuit all day.  This ensured it wouldn’t rain.   When it got warm in the sun, I took off the jacket and it began to drizzle.   I put the jacket back on again and it stopped raining.  So I left it on the for most of the day.

Tournament director Shabbir discovered that if he wears his rainsuit, it won't rain even when the forecast predicts it.

Because head coach David Chan was off skiing, we were dependent on our volunteers to help setup the range.  We owe a debt of gratitude to TonyM, ThimO, FrankL, AliciaS for helping Gerard and I get everything ready in time.

Next week we begin shooting outdoor distances, which is very exciting!  Next month’s achievement shoot will be outdoor distances!
