Donate to the bale fund for the archery range!

A San Francisco Golden Gate Park Archery Range bale in desperate need of replacement. The City no longer replaces the bales due to budget cuts. Golden Gate JOAD, San Francisco Community College and private donors scrape together the thousands of dollars and labor needed to replace the target bales.

The bales at Golden Gate Archery Range are not replaced by the city of San Francisco with your tax dollars.  David Chan, head of Golden Gate JOAD and Diane Nagura of City College of San Francisco act as stewards for the range’s target bales, fronting the money for replacing them, soliciting donations from archers and archery instructors to cover the cost, and pledging volunteers for the labor to install the new ones.

If you would like to make a donation to support the bale fund, please use the Paypal form below.  Let us know if you need a receipt.  Golden Gate JOAD is not a 501c(3), so your donation will not be tax-deductible.  However you’ll get to use a brand new target bale!

For more information on how you can be recognized as a donor, please see our donor benefits page.

Bale donation New archery bales for the range cost approximately $350-400 each, and that doesn’t cover Shipping, the labor to install them or the frames that hold them in place.  If you would like to make a donation to the Bale Fund, please use the link above.
