Golden Gate JOAD Youth Archer Earns Gold

Golden Gate JOAD archer Katherine earned her Indoor Recurve Yellow Pin, the highest of the original USA Archery Stars Pin Achievement Awards. Katherine is the first of our archers to shoot her way through a full run of 8 JOAD achievement pins. We only hold achievement shoots once per month, so earning those pins takes many months of effort and highly practiced skill, even for archers who work as hard as Katherine. Congratulations to her for all of her effort and her achievement.

Now Katherine is eligible to earn the extremely challenging Bronze, Silver and Gold Olympian awards from USA archery, as well as continue to shoot for pins in other disciplines (Indoor and Outdoor distances) and other categories (Barebow/Basic Compound, Recurve, Compound).

The JOAD Stars Pin Awards have recently been revamped and improved. Now Barbow/Basic Compound is a full category, eligible for all pins, indoors and out. Details about the updated JOAD Stars Pin Awards are online on the USA Archery website.
